It is a surgical procedure that has as its ultimate goal the increase of the length of the penis. It is commonly associated with other aesthetic genital procedures such as pubic pexy, liposuction of the genital region, penoscrotal plasty and the increase of the dimensions of the glans, but more importantly together with the increase of the thickness of the penis.

A penis of normal structure that is smaller than the normal range for a baby. The length of a newborn boy's penis is 2.8-4.2 cm and has a circumference of 0.9-1.3 cm. A penis with a length less than 1.9 cm is considered a micropenis.

The cause is multifactorial -- hormonal disorders of the mother during pregnancy and of the child after pregnancy.

In adults, it is considered to be those that do not exceed 7 cm in length when erect.

Nowadays, this pathology can be solved with endocrinological support and by performing an appropriate Penoplasty.
